Team Biotech
The Biotechnology High School team consists of seniors in the elective Independent Research. This is our school's first year participating in iGem. The team comes from a wide variety of backgrounds, but we all have one thing in common: a passion for science. At Biotech, we learn about disciplines across all the sciences including biology, chemistry, physics, research, and engineering. We believe that our rigorous curriculum partnered with interactive partnerships, and independent investigation will prepare us for the future of a demanding, advancing workplace.

diego delgado
Academically, I am most interested biology and biomedical/genetic engineering mostly academically. I'd like to pursue electrical engineering as a career, as my hobbies have mostly revolve around this world: video games, computer coding, and robotics, for instance. However, the natural mechanics of life have always fascinated me. DNA is more efficient at holding data than any hard drive and it's able to program tiny machines to do things as simple as expressing GFP, to as complex as patterning the growth of the human body. That's incredible and I love learning stuff like that in a practical way.
